- Tier I – LEED Green Associate: A general level of knowledge of LEED and green building. This requires only the core exam.
- Tier II – LEED AP+ : An advanced knowledge of LEED and specialization in a particular field: commercial building design & construction, commercial operations & maintenance, commercial interiors, residential design & construction, and neighborhood development. This tier requires the core exam and one specialty track exam.
